Functionality meets aesthetics
The polished stainless steel case (316L) with rectangular pushers has a diameter of 40mm, feels sturdy and high quality on the wrist, and is also, for both women and men, comfortable and pleasant to wear. With the elegant design and fascinating look, this watch is an eye-catching and modern classic for any occasion, no matter if you are in the office, at the dinner party or at leisure time.
The watch is water resistant to 10ATM (100 meters) and can be worn for almost all activities. To meet the requirements of a watch suitable for daily use, we have chosen a high quality domed sapphire crystal with the best scratch resistance. The curvature also gives the glass a vintage character and for good visibility, the glass interior is double anti-reflective. The clear, matte, white dial embodies the typical earlier times, as well as the polished dolphin hands. Hand applied raised indexes in case color add volume to the dial.
The chronograph convinces with its elegant and sporty design and has several useful functions. in addition to the 30-minute stop function, the blue tachymeter scale offers the possibility to measure speeds. the red telemeter scale can also be used to measure distances. Through the sapphire crystal caseback you can watch the sea-gull ST1940 automatic movement at work, a piece of real watchmaking art for your wrist. The automatic movement, derived from an old swiss movement, accompanies you through thick and thin – quietly, reliably and precisely.

For the automatic version we have chosen a special movement with a great and long tradition. The sea-gull ST1940 is based on an old swiss movement, the venus 175. Originally, the venus 175 was developed and manufactured by fabrique d’ebauches venus SA in moutier between 1940 and the early 1960s. It has been used in several high end chronographs such as. Used to the breitling chronograph and the breitling top time chronograph.
In the 60’s venus decided to develop a new movement to replace the 175. To raise the capital for this, the company sold all the rights and tools needed to produce the venus 175 to the Chinese military, who from then on produced movements for their air force. Later this movement was commercialized as the sea-gull ST19 series.
The caliber ST1940 used is a modified automatic version, a precise, reliable and modern movement with a switching wheel. Because of the tradition and origin of the ST1940, it has the robustness and accuracy of the venus 175, which is why we chose it for our watch.

Your new automatic chronograph will be delivered in an all-round carefree package. in addition to the high quality leatherette box and the practical credit card holder, you will also receive a strap changing tool and replacement spring bars. In addition, you will receive 3 bracelets of your choice.
All our watch straps are comfortable and luxurious, made of genuine premium leather and high quality nylon, which guarantees a perfect fit. All leather, textile, mesh and nylon straps are equipped with a quick-change system for fast and easy strap replacement. Changing a bracelet has never been so easy.

We appreciate these chronographs for their beautiful dials that provide a wealth of information and are both elegant and sporty. our bicompax chronograph is named after the legendary le mans 24 hour race. In 1952, hermann lang and fritz riess were the first and last germans to win this race in a mercedes 300SL (W-194 series). motorsport has long been influenced by swabian engineering and we still believe that swabian skills can change everything. For this reason, our watches are manufactured in southern germany.
