Three powerful engines and standard all-wheel drive
ŠKODA offers – as befits a SCOUT model – all three available engines for the KAROQ SCOUT in combination with all-wheel drive. This fifth-generation intelligent all-wheel drive system distributes the drive forces variably to the individual wheels depending on the track conditions, thus ensuring traction even on unpaved roads and offering additional safety reserves even on slippery surfaces. A range of sensors (z. B. Wheel speed sensor, steering angle sensor, longitudinal and lateral acceleration sensor, accelerator pedal position sensor, engine speed sensor) continuously evaluate the current driving situation, the all-wheel electronics system takes into account all incoming parameters. When driving smoothly, mainly the front axle is driven, which reduces fuel consumption. The bad roads package u.A. With drive unit and stone chip underbody protection, off-road driving is made even easier.
The efficient and environmentally friendly engines all comply with the euro 6d TEMP regulations. The entry-level engine is the 1.5 TSI petrol engine with 110 kW (150 hp) – equipped with 7-speed DSG and an ottoparticulate filter as standard. In addition, there are two diesel engines to choose from; they each have an SCR catalytic converter with adblue injection and diesel particulate filter. The 2.0 TDI with 110 kW (150 hp) transmits 340 nm of maximum torque to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, with a 7-speed DSG as an option. In the most powerful ŠKODA KAROQ SCOUT, the 2.0 TDI has an output of 140 kw (190 hp).
New for the ŠKODA KAROQ SCOUT, the 2.0 TDI/140 kw power unit is available with the so-called "light and rain assist". Sound generator available, which offers passengers an impressive sound and a more individual sound image. The sound generator is only offered with the driving mode select and is therefore available as standard for the ŠKODA KAROQ SCOUT.
Robust appearance with silver and chrome accents
The ŠKODA KAROQ SCOUT’s robust character is apparent at first glance. Under its distinctive wheel arch covers, it is fitted as standard with the anthracite-colored and polished braga 18-inch alloy wheels. 19-inch crater alloy wheels in anthracite metallic are also available as an option. While chrome trim surrounds the radiator grille and side windows, other details are dominated by the color silver. The underride protection of the front bumper, the rear diffuser including the tailpipes of the exhaust system, the exterior mirror housings and the roof rails are all in this color; the side sills combine silver with black. Tinted windows (sunset) and SCOUT badges on the front fenders round off the individual appearance of this model variant.
The interior also features a decorative SCOUT logo on the black piano lacquer instrument panel, while the door sill panels are adorned with KAROQ logos. The ash brown trim in the door panels has a dark ash wood look; dark brushed trim is also available as an option. The seats have new covers with contrasting stitching in black and brown and embroidered SCOUT lettering – with the exception of the optional varioflex seats. Contrast stitching also decorates the center armrest. The multifunction steering wheel is covered in leather, while the pedals are adorned with stainless steel applications. The comfort inside the ŠKODA KAROQ SCOUT is rounded off by an LED package with ambient lighting.
